Editing Process Highlights

This was a poorly written article that, frankly speaking, should be rewritten from scratch. It offers very little by way of evidence of the benefits of micro-credentials although there is plenty of data. One or two data links from reputed authorities like this one from SpringerOpen or this one from Coursera would greatly improve the argument it makes. Nevertheless, as is the content is good to go for publishing. Here are the key issues I corrected in it:


  • Better flow – the biggest problem here was the lack of narrative flow. Sentences stood out awkwardly without consistency in active voice. I changed that by using shorter sentences and more transition words.

  • Better structuring – The article was poorly structured and Yoast was not recognizing the sub headings. I gave the article better structuring via H1, H2 H3 etc. tags for better SEO value and readability.

  • Better conclusion – The article lacked a conclusion that rounded off its entire argument endorsing micro-credentials. I summarized the article and concluded it with an ending para justifying its subject.
